What Is Moissanite?

A 60-second understanding of the stone behind the sparkle.

Moissanite is a gemstone made of silicon carbide (SiC). Natural moissanite is extremely rare; the stones used in jewelry today are grown in laboratories — same chemistry, same brilliance, none of the mining.

On the refractive index, moissanite actually outperforms diamond: more fire, more sparkle under daily light. On the hardness scale it ranks 9.25, second only to diamond — durable enough for a ring worn every day.

The honest difference is price. A moissanite stone with comparable visual size typically costs a small fraction of a diamond of the same look. You get the sparkle and the durability without the diamond price tag.

Moissanite is not a "fake diamond" — it is its own gemstone with its own optical signature. We never sell it as a diamond, and we label every piece clearly as moissanite.

Every piece on this site is clearly labeled with its SKU. Metal, stone size, color grade and finish are confirmed per order in writing — if a specification matters to you, ask and we will answer before you pay.
